Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.\u201d<\/em><br>\u2014 Joshua 1:8 (NLT)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83e\uddf1 <strong>Main Points<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Make Reading the Word a Priority<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>God transforms us through <strong>thousands of small moments of obedience<\/strong>, not one big event.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Bible isn\u2019t just a book you read \u2014 <strong>it reads you<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you open Scripture, the Holy Spirit reveals what needs to align, shift, and grow in your life.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developing a <em>taste<\/em> for God\u2019s Word is like moving from \u201ckids\u2019 meals\u201d to the \u201cmain course.\u201d Once you\u2019ve tasted the real thing, you can\u2019t go back.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Takeaway:<\/strong><br>Make Scripture as automatic as your morning coffee. What Happens When You Read the Word<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>God speaks to you.<\/strong> The Holy Spirit highlights verses that are <em>for you<\/em>, answering questions, confirming direction, and revealing truth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>God sanctifies you.<\/strong> The Word cleanses, corrects, and sets you apart for His purposes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>What goes in comes out.<\/strong> Fill your heart with the Word so your words, actions, and attitudes flow from His truth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Supporting Verses:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>John 17:17 \u2014 \u201cSanctify them in the truth; Your Word is truth.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>John 8:32 \u2014 \u201cYou will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>John 14:26 \u2014 The Holy Spirit will remind you of what Jesus has said.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. How to Start Reading the Word<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re unsure where to begin, <strong>get organized<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Pick a <em>time<\/em> and <em>place<\/em> you can keep consistently.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose a <em>translation<\/em> that\u2019s readable (NLT or ESV are great options).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start in the <em>Gospels<\/em> (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) or <em>Proverbs<\/em> for wisdom.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use tools like the <em>YouVersion Bible App<\/em> for reading plans and verse reminders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Remember:<\/strong> You don\u2019t need to feel like reading every day\u2014just start small. Like a gym habit, once you get going, momentum grows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Learn to Gaze, Not Glance<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Don\u2019t rush through the Word. Slow down. Meditate on it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Let God\u2019s words penetrate deep into your heart (Proverbs 4:20\u201321).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SOAP Method for Bible Reading:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>S \u2014 Scripture:<\/strong> What verse stands out?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>O \u2014 Observation:<\/strong> What does it say?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A \u2014 Application:<\/strong> How can I apply this?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>P \u2014 Prayer:<\/strong> Pray it into your life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Do this 5 times a week and you\u2019ll see growth and transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.
